Strike fund
On 30 October 2026, dockworkers across 40 Mediterranean ports will take coordinated action against militarization and war.
Their stand is a direct response to the genocide in Gaza, the wars of aggression against Iran, and the devastation in Sudan — and an act of solidarity with the peoples of Cuba and Venezuela resisting blockade and intervention.
These workers refuse to let NATO, the US and the EU turn their ports into military outposts for a war economy that devours public resources at home and visits destruction abroad.
To support these workers, who may face retaliation for refusing to load weapons, the Refuse to Move campaign is organising a solidarity strike fund. Your contribution will help those who put their livelihoods on the line to challenge the war economy.
The Strike Fund is managed by the Progressive International on behalf of the Refuse to Move campaign. All funds will benefit the unions taking part in the actions on 30 October 2026, including CGT Ports and Docks (France), ENEDEP (Greece), LAB (Basque Country), Liman-İş (Turkey), ODT (Morocco), USB (Italy), and ORSA Porti of Gioia Tauro (Italy).
